Highly Efficient Encoding for Job-Shop Scheduling Problems and its Application on Quantum Computers [PDF]
Combinatorial optimization problems are considered to be an application, where quantum computing can have transformative impact. In the industrial context, job shop scheduling problems that aim at finding the optimal schedule for a set of jobs to be run on a set of machines are of immense interest.

AIS-SFHM APPROACH FOR OPTIMIZATION OF MULTI OBJECTIVE JOB SHOP PROBLEMS [PDF]
The n-job, m-machine Job shop scheduling (JSP) problem is one of the general production scheduling problems. The JSP problem is a scheduling problem, where a set of ‘n’ jobs must be processed or assembled on a set of ‘m’ dedicated machines.

Possible role of human ribonuclease dicer in the regulation of R loops
R loops play an important role in regulating key cellular processes such as replication, transcription, centromere stabilization, or control of telomere length. However, the unscheduled accumulation of R loops can cause many diseases, including cancer, and neurodegenerative or inflammatory disorders. Interestingly, accumulating data indicate a possible

A Novel Metaheuristics To Solve Mixed Shop Scheduling Problems [PDF]
This paper represents the metaheuristics proposed for solving a class of Shop Scheduling problem. The Bacterial Foraging Optimization algorithm is featured with Ant Colony Optimization algorithm and proposed as a natural inspired computing approach to solve the Mixed Shop Scheduling problem.

Protein O‐glycosylation in the Bacteroidota phylum
Species of the Bacteroidota phylum exhibit a unique O‐glycosylation system. It modifies noncytoplasmic proteins on a specific amino acid motif with a shared glycan core but a species‐specific outer glycan. A locus of multiple glycosyltransferases responsible for the synthesis of the outer glycan has been identified.

Toward Robust Manufacturing Scheduling: Stochastic Job-Shop Scheduling [PDF]
Manufacturing plays a significant role in economic development, production, exports, and job creation, which ultimately contribute to improving the quality of life. The presence of manufacturing defects is, however, inevitable leading to products being discarded, i.e. scrapped. In some cases, defective products can be repaired through rework. Scrap and

THE EFFECT OF HUMAN FACTORS ON JOB PERFORMANCE AMONG WORKERS IN A SMALL MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISE [PDF]
In most small manufacturing enterprises, production planning and production scheduling are the two most important operational management tasks required in a job shop.

Summary In this contribution, we propose a detailed study of interpolation‐based data‐driven methods that are of relevance in the model reduction and also in the systems and control communities. The data are given by samples of the transfer function of the underlying (unknown) model, that is, we analyze frequency‐response data.

Exploring the Job Shop Queuing Environment [PDF]
My research revolves around the job shop environment. The job shop is an environment in manufacturing where jobs arrive randomly and take a random amount of time to complete. For instance, a maker of specialized metal parts most likely involves some sort

Semi-autonomous Intersection Collision Avoidance through Job-shop Scheduling [PDF]
In this paper, we design a supervisor to prevent vehicle collisions at intersections. An intersection is modeled as an area containing multiple conflict points where vehicle paths cross in the future. At every time step, the supervisor determines whether
