J.R. Hicks, the young, is the father of the IS-LM framework of analysis - that framework which killed the Keynesian Revolution. John Hicks, the old, repudiated the analysis that J.R. Hicks made. That's why Hicks changed name from J.R. to John. The article studies the underlined theoretical motives that provoke this profound change of mind.

It is unclear to me precisely how the Kant—Russell line of argument shows that my version of the OA breaks down — that is, is either formally invalid, informally invalid, or unsound. Nevertheless, the thrust of Hick’s objection is clear — it is illicit and precritical to speak, as the OA does, of existence ‘in the mind’.
