Use of Johnson–Cook plasticity model for numerical simulations of the SNF shipping cask drop tests

open access: yesNuclear Energy and Technology, 2016
The paper presents the results of a numerical simulation for the strains and damage caused by the drop of a TUK-128 SNF shipping cask on a bar. This is a design basis accident in the SNF land transport outside hazardous sites (an NPP or a processing ...

Trace Ru‐Doped PtCuRu@PtRu Core‐Shell Electrocatalyst for CO‐Resilient Methanol Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We engineered a trace Ru‐doped PtCuRu@PtRu core‐shell nanostructure. This design exploits lattice mismatch‐induced compressive strain between the PtCuRu ternary core and trace Ru‐doped Pt‐rich shell, systematically downshifting the Pt d‐band center to weaken *CO adsorption energetics.

CONSTITUTIVE MODEL AND FAILURE PARAMETERS OF TC4 TITANIUM ALLOY UNDER QUASI-STATIC TENSILE

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2022
Large deformation and fracture processes of materials are often involved in the finite element simulation of high-speed collision. Based on the Johnson-Cook fracture failure model, TC4 titanium alloy samples with different notch sizes were designed, and ...

Wide Temperature Zero Thermal Expansion in Al Matrix Composites with High Thermal Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Strain engineering strategy is implemented on the negative thermal expansion (NTE) phase Zn1.6Mg0.4P2O7 within composites, where Al matrix‐induced compressive strain drives uniform polyhedral and unit cell evolution, thereby enabling broad and consistent thermal compensation efficacy and obtaining good thermal performance.

Oxygen Vacancy‐Mediated Bi─O Unsaturation Coordination in BiOCl for Efficient Photocatalytic Water Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The incorporation of oxygen vacancies (OVs) presents a viable strategy for fine‐tuning the photocatalytic prowess of BiOCl. A reliable hydrogen annealing reduction technique is employed to precisely design OVs, thereby optimizing the light absorption capacity, as well as the efficiency of carrier migration and separation in BiOCl.

Modified Johnson–Cook material flow model for hot deformation processing.

open access: yes, 2010
The need of a generalised flow curves considering strain (e), strain rate (_e) and temperature (T) is a primary requirement for material modelling related to several conventional and strategic mechanical processing to meet critical and non ...

On the Capability of Logarithmic-Power Model for Prediction of Hot Deformation Behavior of Alloy 800H at High Strain Rates

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes, 2019
In this study, the logarithmic-power model has been used to predict hot deformation behavior of alloy 800H at high temperatures. This is for the first time that the logarithmic-power model is examined to model the flow stress curves with negligible flow ...

Quasi-Static Loading Responses and Constitutive Modeling of Al–Si–Mg alloy

open access: yesMetals, 2018
The flow behavior of the Al–Si–Mg alloy under uniaxial compression loading was investigated at different strain rates (10−3 s−1, 10−2 s−1,10−1 s−1, 100 s−1) at a wide range of temperatures (573 K, 623

Intrinsic Dual‐Phase Regulated GeSe2 Nanoparticles Triggered by Ball‐Milling Treatment for Photonic Multi‐Valued Logic Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report the solid‐state ball milling, a traditional, reliable, mass‐productive material processing, to prepare the air‐stable and dual‐phase GeSe2‐x nanoparticles with extended photodetection feasibility toward optical‐wavelength regions. We further display photonic multi‐valued logic (MVL) circuit through the employment of a hybrid PMMA/GeSe2‐x ...
