Distributed top-k aggregation queries at large [PDF]
Top-k query processing is a fundamental building block for efficient ranking in a large number of applications. Efficiency is a central issue, especially for distributed settings, when the data is spread across different nodes in a network.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

On Valency-Based Molecular Topological Descriptors of Subdivision Vertex-Edge Join of Three Graphs [PDF]
In the studies of quantitative structure–activity relationships (QSARs) and quantitative structure–property relationships (QSPRs), graph invariants are used to estimate the biological activities and properties of chemical compounds. In these studies, degree-based topological indices have a significant place among the other descriptors because of the ...

Asynchronous Distributed Execution Of Fixpoint-Based Computational Fields [PDF]
Coordination is essential for dynamic distributed systems whose components exhibit interactive and autonomous behaviors. Spatially distributed, locally interacting, propagating computational fields are particularly appealing for allowing components to ...

On Distance-Based Topological Descriptors of Subdivision Vertex-Edge Join of Three Graphs [PDF]
The analysis of networks and graphs through topological descriptors carries out a useful role to derive their underlying topologies. This process has been widely used in biomedicine, cheminformatics, and bioinformatics, where assessments based on graph invariants have been made available for effectively communicating with the various challenging ...
