Operative Versus Non-operative Treatment of Grade III Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocations and the Use of SurgiLig: a Retrospective Review

open access: yes, 2017
Background. Acromioclavicular joint dislocations are common shoulder girdle injuries. The treatment of grade III acromioclavicular joint dislocations is controversial.

Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

Posterior Interosseous Nerve Injury From Chronic Monteggia Fracture Dislocation Requiring Nerve Reconstruction

open access: yesJournal of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America
Monteggia fracture-dislocations are rare elbow injuries in the pediatric population. Multiple case reports have described posterior interosseous nerve (PIN) palsies in the setting of Monteggia fracture-dislocations, usually due to stretch neuropraxia. In

Proximal Interphalangeal Joint Dislocations and Treatment: An Evolutionary Process

open access: yes, 2014
Background Proximal interphalangeal joint (PIPJ) dislocations represent a significant proportion of hand clinic visits and typically require frequent follow-ups for clinical assessment, orthotic adjustments, and physiotherapy.

Rethinking Charge Transport and Recombination in Donor‐Diluted Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Organic solar cells with 1–45% PM6 content in Y12 were studied to link structure and charge dynamics to performance. The conductivity follows a 3D percolation model without a sharp threshold. Donor dilution preserves the photogeneration yield, but limits the fill factor due to transport resistance losses.

Fracture dislocations of Lisfranc's joint treated with closed reduction and percutaneous fixation

open access: yes, 2003
We reviewed 42 patients (mean age 37.7±14.2 years) with closed fracture dislocations of Lisfranc's joint treated with percutaneous screw fixation. Mean follow-up was 58.4±17.3 months.

Revision Acromioclavicular-Coracoclavicular Reconstruction: Use of Precontoured Button and 2 Allografts

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2017
Injuries to the acromioclavicular (AC) joint are common, particularly in the young and active population. Approximately 9% of all shoulder girdle injuries involve the AC joint, and AC joint dislocations represent approximately 8% of all joint ...
