This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Improvement of adhesive-bonded structural joints [PDF]
Investigation is described of methods for obtaining uniform shear stress distribution in adhesives used in double-lap bonded joints. Design rules for reducing adhesive peak shear stresses are listed.

Investigation of a generalized Obukhov Model for Turbulence
We introduce a generalization of Obukhov's model [A.M. Obukhov, Adv. Geophys. 6, 113 (1959)] for the description of the joint position-velocity statistics of a single fluid particle in fully developed turbulence.

Joint Distributions and Commutability of Observables
Let H be a Hilbert space and \({\mathcal S}\) be the space of all positive trace-class operators T on H with tr (T)\(=1\) (identified with the set of all normal states on \({\mathbb{B}}(H)\) by \(\rho_ T(A)=tr (AT))\). For an observable A on H let \(P_ T\) A be the probability distribution of A at the state T, i.e. \(P\) \(A_ T(E)=\rho_ T(\chi_ E(A))\)

Joint feature distributions for image correspondence [PDF]
We introduce `Joint Feature Distributions', a general statistical framework for feature based multi-image matching that explicitly models the joint probability distributions of corresponding features across several images. Conditioning on feature positions in some of the images gives well-localized distributions for their correspondents in the others ...

Joint Distributions and Quantum Nonlocal Models [PDF]
A standard result in quantum mechanics is this: if two observables are commuting then they have a classical joint distribution in every state. A converse is demonstrated here: If a classical joint distribution for the pair agrees with standard quantum facts, then the observables must commute.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Characterizations of multinomial distributions based on conditional distributions
Several characterizations of the joint multinomial distribution of two discrete random vectors are derived assuming conditional multinomial distributions.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
