Facile Fabrication of Low‐Impedance, Highly Conformal Epidermal Electrodes Based on Laser‐Induced Graphene–Silver Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A facile laser‐induced graphene–silver nanocomposite strategy enables ultrathin epidermal electrodes with low impedance, high conductivity, and excellent mechanical robustness. The porous LIG–Ag conductive network mechanically interlocked with SEBS provides stable, motion‐resistant biopotential monitoring, enabling high‐fidelity ECG, EMG, and EEG ...

Numerical Modeling Of Jointed Rock Mass

open access: yes, 2000
The behavior of jointed rock mass is very complex and is influenced by many factors such as location of joints, joint frequency, joint orientation and joint strength. A thorough review of literature on different aspects of jointed rock mass indicate that

Characterization of Impact-induced Damage of Jointed Rock Masses

open access: yes, 2015
The dynamic response of rock under impact loading has become of particular interest for several mining and civil engineering applications. This thesis uses an advanced numerical method to address the response of jointed rock masses subjected to impact ...

Constitutive Damage Model of Dry-wet Cycles of Filled Jointed Rock Considering the Initial Compaction Stage

open access: yes工程科学与技术
The compression process of filled jointed rock under dry-wet cycles exhibits a distinct initial compaction stage; however, existing rock damage models rarely account for the filling characteristics of joints, making it difficult to accurately describe ...

On the strength and failure mechanism of confined pre-holed jointed rock mass via DIC

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
As the development of deep underground engineering in modern days (i.e., exploitation of geo-energy and underground constructions), a higher demand arises for an accurate prediction of ground deformation and stability.

Beyond Potency: Emerging Determinants and Optimization Strategies Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy of Adult Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adult stem cell therapy requires more than high in vitro potency. This review proposes a systems framework in which cell‐intrinsic programs, instructive microenvironmental cues, and pre‐/post‐delivery engineering are co‐designed under standardized translational rules.

Young children's perspectives of time: New directions for co‐constructing understandings of quality in ECEC

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Children's relationship with time in preschools is an under‐researched area. Young children rarely know how to measure time using a clock, but their experiences of time may contribute to understanding children's well‐being and debates about quality in preschools.

Determining the Relative Influence of Joint and Rock Properties on the Propagation of Planar Waves in Jointed Rock Masses Using Multivariate Statistical Techniques

open access: yes, 2020
The effect of discontinuity stiffness and spacing and intact block stiffness on the transmission of stress waves through a rock mass has been assessed with the use of a large database of 1531 analysis results, generated using a 1D numerical model.

Effect of Joint Inclination on Deformation and Failure of Rock Specimen with a Single Joint in Plane Strain Compression

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2006
:Peak strength, mechanical behavior, and pattern of shear band (SB) of anisotropic jointed rock specimen were modeled by FLAC. The failure criterion of intact rock was a composite Mohr-Coulomb criterion with tension cut-off and the post-peak constitutive

Resolving Oxidative and Corrosive Calendar‐Aging via Electrolyte Engineering for Stable Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A weakly solvating ether solvent, 1,2‐dimethoxypropane (DMP), is proposed for use in localized high‐concentration electrolytes (LHCEs) for lithium metal batteries (LMBs). These DMP‐based LHCEs simultaneously suppress lithium metal corrosion and cathode degradation—two interrelated processes that accelerate calendar aging of LMBs.
