MGDP: Mastering a Generalized Depth Perception Model for Quadruped Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Perception‐based Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) controllers demonstrate impressive performance on challenging terrains. However, existing controllers still face core limitations, struggling to achieve both terrain generality and platform transferability, and are constrained by high computational overhead and sensitivity to sensor noise.

Permeability Anisotropy of Columnar Jointed Rock Masses

open access: yesKSCE Journal of Civil Engineering, 2018
This paper investigated the anisotropic permeability of columnar jointed rock masses at Baihetan hydropower station in Southwest China. Discrete element analysis is conducted to evaluate the hydraulic Representative Elemental Volume (REV) size of jointed rock masses. It is found to be 5m×5m and it is seven times of the column length.
