The cosemanticness of Kaiser hulls of fixed classes of models

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
In this article, within the framework of the study of Jonsson theories, the model-theoretic properties of cosemanticness classes belonging to the factor set of the Jonsson spectrum of an existentially closed models’ subclass of some Jonsson theory in a ...

MARVEL Analysis of the Measured High-Resolution Rovibronic Spectra of 90Zr16O [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Zirconium oxide(ZrO) is an important astrophysical molecule that defines the S-star classification class for cool giant stars. Accurate, empirical rovibronic energy levels, with associated labels and uncertainties, are reported for 9 low-lying electronic

The Role of Knowledge‐Based Resources in Leveraging Business Analytics

open access: yesKnowledge and Process Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Business analytics enhances managerial decision‐making. To this end, previous research guides firms to combine their tangible business analytics resources, such as data and technology, with intangible knowledge‐based business analytics resources to enable that business analytics supports decision‐making.

Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometry: Fundamental Principles, Diverse Applications, and the Latest Technological Frontiers

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The review examines the evolution of chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CI‐MS), a technique developed in 1966 by Field and Munson. CI is a soft‐ionization method that produces more intense molecular ions with less fragmentation than electron ionization (EI).

Building the red sequence through gas-rich major mergers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Understanding the details of how the red sequence is built is a key question in galaxy evolution. What are the relative roles of gas-rich vs. dry mergers, major vs. minor mergers or galaxy mergers vs. gas accretion? In Wild et al.

Improving forest age estimation to understand subtropical forest regrowth dynamics using deep learning image segmentation of time‐series historical aerial photographs

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
Accurately estimating forest age is key to understanding how forests recover and evaluating restoration success. We developed a two‐step deep learning approach using historical greyscale aerial photographs to map forest age at fine spatial scales. By combining a pre‐trained model with localized fine‐tuning, our U‐Net + ResNet50 architecture achieved ...

Long-Time Dynamics of Variable Coefficient mKdV Solitary Waves

open access: yes, 2005
We study the Korteweg-de Vries-type equation dt u=-dx(dx^2 u+f(u)-B(t,x)u), where B is a small and bounded, slowly varying function and f is a nonlinearity. Many variable coefficient KdV-type equations can be rescaled into this equation.

Tourism Labor Market and the Attainment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals: Pending Challenges, Ongoing Opportunities and More Responsible and Inclusive Scientific Research for the Advancement of the Tourism Industry

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Concerning human resources, research in the tourism sector has traditionally focused on a personnel‐managerial perspective rather than a labor market‐condition analysis per se, limiting the examination of its unique working ecosystem and distinct socioeconomic particularities. This has evidenced an apparent thematic research gap in the tourism

Molecular astronomy of cool stars and sub-stellar objects

open access: yes, 2009
The optical and infrared spectra of a wide variety of `cool' astronomical objects including the Sun, sunspots, K-, M- and S-type stars, carbon stars, brown dwarfs and extrasolar planets are reviewed.

Contrasting properties of predation and scavenging networks governed by megaherbivores in an African savannah

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
For the first time, predation and scavenging networks are directly compared within a single ecosystem. Using an 8‐year dataset of African mammals, including megaherbivores, this study reveals distinct structural rules and body mass constraints, providing a scalable framework for studying consumer–resource dynamics and ecosystem function.
