Development of immunocompetent models for primary and metastatic ER+ breast cancer

This study explores syngeneic, immunocompetent models of ER+ breast cancer in 129S6/SvEv mice, using trackable tumor cells to model both primary tumors and metastasis. The models show promise, while also revealing limitations for studying advanced disease and immune interactions.

Biochemical and Immunohistochemical Associations of TDP‐43 and Cryptic RNA With Hippocampal and Amygdala Volumetrics in Alzheimer's Disease

Objective Immunohistochemically (IHC) measured transactive response DNA‐binding protein 43 (TDP‐43) inclusions are observed in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and are associated with medial temporal lobe atrophy. Accumulation of cryptic exons occurs in AD in response to TDP‐43 pathology.

Lysyl Oxidase Reduces Neutrophil Extravasation in Response to P. aeruginosa in an Infection‐on‐a‐Chip Model

Lysyl oxidase crosslinking of type I collagen decreases neutrophil extravasation through an endothelium during the initial response to P. aeruginosa. This decrease in extravasation is likely due to the increase in VE‐cadherin expression between endothelial cells seeded on LOX‐crosslinked collagen hydrogels.
