Abstract Background Extracellular vesicles (EVs), especially exosomes, are nanoparticles increasingly recognized as key regulators of intercellular communication in both physiological and pathological aspects. Despite rapid progress, inconsistencies in nomenclature, isolation, and characterization continue to restrict translational advancement.

Abstract Introduction Reef‐forming shellfish facilitate biodiversity through providing structural complexity in benthic habitats. Globally, reef‐forming shellfish have been overharvested to near extirpation, with a corresponding loss in biodiversity. Mussel shell material, an aquaculture by‐product, has the potential to rehabilitate ecosystem services ...

ABSTRACT This article examines the iconography of the Andromeda constellation as an intersex figure within medieval and early modern astrological traditions. It focuses on the origins of this imagery in the thirteenth‐century astrological writings of Scot and its reappearance nearly three centuries later in Ratdolt's illustrated 1482 edition of Hyginus'

Lithium‐ion battery anodes that maintain good performance and excellent stability under high temperature conditions. Silicon oxide (SiO) has great potential as a high‐capacity anode for lithium‐ion batteries, but its practical use is limited by excessive volume expansion (>200%) and rapid capacity fade, especially at high temperatures.

Donor‐induced conformational gating and substrate‐assisted catalysis in α‐1,3‐galactosyltransferase
Abstract Retaining glycosyltransferases catalyze the formation of stereochemically conserved glycosidic bonds through mechanisms that remain debated. Using bovine α1,3‐galactosyltransferase (α3GalT) as a model, we combine mutagenesis, equilibrium unfolding, kinetics, and molecular dynamics simulations to understand how donor‐induced loop ordering ...
