Abstract Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) is one of the most widely used geophysical techniques for hydrogeological questions, such as investigating the groundwater transition zone between land and sea. The interpretation of 2D coast‐parallel ERT profiles is challenging because most of the electrical current flows through the highly conductive ...

Abstract The biological, chemical, and physical processes in the mesopelagic zone that impact carbon flux to the deep ocean are poorly understood, particularly in the Southern Ocean, despite their importance to deep ocean carbon storage. Using a CTD‐mounted underwater imaging system, the Underwater Vision Profiler 5, we observed distributions of large ...

Information and affective valence influence judgments of complexity, liking and understanding
Abstract Visual complexity is a key factor in perceptual and evaluative judgments. People's representation of visual complexity is constructed from quantitative and structural image features, but it is also influenced by familiarity and expertise. We examined how people represent visual complexity and its impact on perception and evaluation, focusing ...

ABSTRACT Quantitative assessment of the pressure injury size (S) and pocket (P, undermining) is essential for evaluating wound healing. Conventional LabelMe annotations often lead to oversegmentation, whereas object detection with You Only Look Once (YOLO) enables accurate wound localization.

Artificial Intelligence‐Based Identification of Common Canine Skin Lesions From Clinical Images
Background: Accurate evaluation of skin lesions is an essential component of dermatological examination, yet it can be time‐consuming and subject to interobserver variability. While artificial intelligence (AI) models have shown reliability in diagnosing specific skin diseases, lesion‐level identification remains underexplored in veterinary dermatology.

Adaptive JPEG steganography based on distortion cost updating
Previous adaptive JPEG steganography algorithms mostly calculate image distortion before secret information embedding,so they can’t dynamically adjust distortion costs.Considering the mutual impacts during embedding,an adaptive JPEG steganography ...
