Performance evaluation of jackfruit seeds and tamarind tree bark as indigenous adsorbents for methylene blue adsorption from synthetic aqueous solutions

open access: yesWater Science and Engineering
Methylene blue (MB) is a widely used industrial dye that poses significant environmental risks when discharged into aquatic systems. This study evaluated the performance of two unmodified agricultural byproducts (jackfruit seed powder (JSP) and tamarind ...

Programmable Crack Networks for Wide‐Range and Reversible Strain Sensing in Vertically Oriented van der Waals Molybdenum Disulfide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Vertically oriented van der Waals MoS2 thin films enable a mechanically programmable crack network for strain sensing. The initial mechanical programming protocol establishes a programmed crack configuration along weak interlayer and interdomain interfaces.

Silk Fibroin Nanofiber–Immobilized Horseradish Peroxidase Enables Continuous Preparation of Injectable Hydrogels With Negligible Residual Enzyme for Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Overcoming the immunogenicity challenges of enzyme‐mediated crosslinking, a flow‐through reactor utilizing SFNF‐HRP enables the continuous production of injectable hydrogels. This continuous platform ensures homogeneous crosslinking while minimizing residual HRP in the resulting hydrogels.

Jute stick-microcrystalline cellulose as a functional additive in gypsum composites: Comparative performance against jute stick powder

open access: yesResults in Engineering
Gypsum-based materials are widely used in construction due to their low density and fire resistance; however, their brittleness and moisture sensitivity limit broader application.

A Layered Two‐Dimensional Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework Based on 2,5,8,11‐Tetrakis(4‐Carboxyphenyl)Perylene Diimide: Structural Nature, Optical and Photophysical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A novel hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) based on perylene diimide (PDI) is synthesized, structurally and spectroscopically characterized. Its photophysical behavior highlights how supramolecular organizations govern the optical properties, including emission from monomers, aggregates, and excimer‐like species. Structural transformations induced

Helicity‐Dependent All‐Optical Switching in Bi,Ga‐Substituted Rare‐Earth Iron Garnet Films Driven by Orbital Magnetic Moment

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Helicity‐dependent all‐optical magnetization switching was demonstrated for the Bi‐ and Ga‐substituted rare‐earth (R) iron garnet crystal thin films (Bi,Ga:RIG; R = Eu3+, Nd3+, and Y3+). The efficiency followed the order EIG > NIG > YIG. These results show the correlation between 4f orbital moment (4f〈L〉) of R3+ and helicity‐dependent optical ...

Donor‐Strength‐Driven Evolution From Charge‐Transfer to Polymethine Excited States in CurcBF2 Derivatives

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Donor strength governs the excited‐state character and TADF behavior of donor‐acceptor‐donor borondifluoride curcuminoid derivatives. Increasing donor strength drives a transition from charge‐transfer TADF to a zwitterionic polymethine structure with predominantly local excited‐state emission and suppressed TADF.
