Validation of Plagiochila fracta nomen nudum (Jungermanniopsida). East African bryophytes XXXI.

Phytotaxa, 2015
The nomen nudum Plagiochila fracta Pócs was used for a species collected by Patricia Geissler during March of 1999 in Madagascar. The name was used in three publications, but was never properly and validly described. Third time lucky? Another substantially revised sectional classification for Australasian Plagiochila (Plagiochilaceae: Jungermanniopsida)

Australian Systematic Botany, 2017
Molecular phylogeny reconstruction has motivated recircumscription of all families and most genera within the Lophocoleinae, and in Plagiochila, the largest genus of this lineage, has refined the sectional classification as well. Here, we extend this ongoing revision in the first study focusing on species from Australasia, a region to date ...

Inferring the Phylogeny of the Lejeuneaceae (Jungermanniopsida): A First Appraisal of Molecular Data

The Bryologist, 2003
Abstract Genetic and tribal relationships within the hepatic family Lejeuneaceae are problematic. We studied the phylogeny of the family using sequence data from three genomic regions: 1) the internal transcribed spacer 2 sequence between the nuclear genes encoding 26S and 5.8S ribosomal RNA, 2) partial sequences of the chloroplast genes trnL and trnF ...
