Extensive but fragmented evidence limits understanding of factors shaping farmers' decisions regarding diversified farming systems: A global evidence map

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 8, Issue 7, Page 2212-2232, July 2026.
Abstract Diversified farming systems are increasingly recognised for their potential to enhance the sustainability and resilience of food systems. Yet it remains unclear whether empirical research adequately captures the drivers and constraints shaping farmers' decisions regarding diversified farming systems across stages of decision‐making ...

Simultaneous Generation of Topographic Models and Manning Roughness Coefficient Maps From Tri‐Stereoscopic Satellite Images: Application to the Huarmey River, Peru

open access: yesThe Photogrammetric Record, Volume 41, Issue 195, July/September 2026.
Tri‐stereoscopic PeruSat‐1 imagery enables the simultaneous generation of 0.70 m‐resolution topography and spatially distributed Manning roughness maps, achieving 0.434 m vertical accuracy. Integrated into HEC‐RAS, these products provide consistent, high‐resolution inputs that improve hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessment in data‐scarce river ...

To Which Extent the Surface Water Ocean Topography (SWOT) Mission Is Currently Able to Monitor Water Surface Elevation and Extent on the French Lakes?

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract This study (July 2023–December 2025) assesses the SWOT satellite's ability to measure water surface elevation (WSE) and surface water extent (SWE) over diverse French lakes. WSE estimates from SWOT were compared to in situ gauge data and conventional radar altimetry, while SWE was evaluated using the Global Water Watch (GWW) database.

On the Detection of Low‐Frequency Planetary Radio Emission With an Orbiting Interferometer

open access: yesRadio Science, Volume 61, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The magnetized planets of the outer Solar System produce kilometric radio emissions at very low frequencies (<1 ${< } 1\,$MHz). They reveal the planetary magnetic dynamics and their interaction with the solar wind. Those radio emissions can also serve as a proxy for interplanetary space weather monitoring.

Advancing Heliophysics and Space Weather Modeling Through Open Science

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract We present a community‐wide effort to develop a strategy and action plan to advance heliophysics and space weather modeling through open science. While open science has the potential to enhance the quality and pace of scientific discovery, its application to scientific modeling requires more careful consideration regarding open data and open ...

Justice spatiale et inégalités socio-environnementales d’exposition et de vulnérabilité aux vagues de chaleur

open access: yesBelgeo
In Europe, excess mortality due to heatwaves has significantly increased in recent years, but this increase has been unevenly distributed across geographical areas and socio-demographic groups.

Segregation, Spatial (In)Justice, and the City [PDF]

open access: yesBerkeley Planning Journal, 2011
Segregation has been widely discussed by social scientists and especially by urban geographers and planners over the past decades. However, regardless of their focus, most of these studies view segregation as an obvious case of spatial injustice. I argue that this implicit relationship between segregation, (in)justice, and space needs to be reexamined.

Upzoning the YIMBY rent gap: A transit‐oriented spatial fix

open access: yesCanadian Geographies / Géographies canadiennes, Volume 70, Issue 3, Autumn / automne 2026.
Abstract This paper takes up the phenomenon of transit‐oriented zoning reform as an urban planning solution to the housing crisis that promises affordability, sustainability, and racial justice. I hypothesize that upzoning near transit creates a vertical rent gap that represents a YIMBY (Yes in My Back Yard) spatial fix, a targeted spatial deregulation
