HEREDITARY JUVENILE GLAUCOMA SIMPLEX

Among the hereditary diseases of the eye, glaucoma has a place. Benedikt,1in 1842, reported the case of an elderly man with gout and glaucoma. Two daughters of this man had glaucoma; they were dark eyed. One son had gout but escaped glaucoma because he was blue eyed. The relationship of gout to glaucoma was discussed by Bull2in 1909.
