Abstract : An echo line is a long waveguide in which the radar pulse re-echoes producing a series of pulses on the indicator for test purposes. The fabrication and testing of an 18inch helix of an oversized K-band waveguide 150 ft long are discussed. Tests showed the attenuation to be 0.029 dh/foot, which suggests the use of such oversized waveguide ...

Filter embedded K-band LTCC upconverter
2007 European Microwave Conference, 2007A low temperature cofired ceramics (LTCC) upconverter is presented. Two filters are embedded under the MMIC mixer. One is an S-band low pass filter with multi-pole configuration for image rejection and the other is a K-band band pass filter with layer coupled configuration for harmonic rejection.

K-band circulators on semiconductor wafers
1996 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2002We report on the development of K-band circulators operating at 20 and 35 GHz which have been monolithically integrated with both GaAs and epitaxial GaAs-on-Si wafers. They demonstrate the potential for a fully integrated T/R module application.

Corrugated SIW K band horn antenna
AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2014Abstract In the recent years, the strong demand for high performance, low cost and high gain antennas for telecommunication, surveillance, and imaging applications has rapidly grown at microwave and higher frequencies. High speed wireless links require modular, compact size and high directivity with low cross polarization antennas. To demonstrate the

Miniaturized Superconducting K-Band Bandpass Filter
IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2013A novel high-temperature superconducting (HTS) microstrip K-band filter is designed, fabricated, and measured. The Chebyshev filter has five poles and is designed for the center frequency of 20.45 GHz with a percentage bandwidth of 2.5%. The proposed miniaturized resonator minimizes the unwanted coupling between nonadjacent resonators, which is ...

Multielement patch antenna for K-band
2012 13th International Radar Symposium, 2012The construction and parameters of the multielement patch antenna have been presented in the paper. The planar antenna for K-band has been designed. The antenna structure on the patch radiation elements was leaned. Radiation elements in two array configuration: rectangular 4×4 and circular 24-elements have been configured.

K-Band Integrated Double-Balanced Mixer
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1980A novel microwave integrated circuit (MIC) double-balanced mixer with good isolation between the three ports is described. The mixer is fabricated using a combination of microstrip lines, slotlines, and coupled slotlines, together with four beam-lead Schottky-barrier diodes. The K-band magic-T has been developed for the double-balanced mixer.

A Power Efficient K-Band Upconverter
2006 International Conference on Microwaves, Radar & Wireless Communications, 2006A low power, active GaAs-HBT upconverter applicable in a receiver front-end for K band wireless sensor networks is presented. Reducing DC energy consumption while still providing adequate gain is the main task of the presented architecture. The 2 GHz input signal is converted to 24 GHz with a gain of 5.8 dB using a 1 dBm LO source and only 15 mW DC ...
