Insertional Variations of Human Endogenous Virus K6 and K11 in Normozoospermic Men

Reproductive Sciences, 2023
Male infertility is a multifactorial heterogeneous reproductive disorder in which genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors play a role in the development of disease. Recent studies have shown that retrotransposon expression alterations may be related to impairment of spermatogenesis. Therefore, in this pilot study, we aimed to investigate whether

Link between the comparison EUROMET.EM.BIPM-K11.b and the ongoing comparison BIPM.EM-K11.b

Metrologia, 2003
In the period 1998-2001, EUROMET organized a comparison of measurements of 10 V DC electronic reference standards. This comparison involved 22 national laboratories and the BIPM. The participating laboratories maintain their voltage reference by Josephson effect measurements or via Zener comparisons. This paper describes the way the EUROMET.EM.BIPM-K11.

Modulation of K11-Linkage Formation by Variable Loop Residues within UbcH5A

Journal of Molecular Biology, 2011
Ubiquitination refers to the covalent addition of ubiquitin (Ub) to substrate proteins or other Ub molecules via the sequential action of three enzymes (E1, E2, and E3). Recent advances in mass spectrometry proteomics have made it possible to identify and quantify Ub linkages in biochemical and cellular systems.

Notes on the performance of coastcross 2 (k11) bermudagrass in natal

Proceedings of the Annual Congresses of the Grassland Society of Southern Africa, 1977
An indication in given of the potential of Coastcross 2 Bermudagrass (K11) as a grazing grass in Natal. The results of several experiments have indicated that this grass has a high yield potential (26 tonnes dry matter per hectare) and an equally high grazing capacity (8 mature livestock units per hectare over 288 days) when grown under irrigation in ...

A New Aminopeptidase from the Keratin-Degrading Strain Streptomyces fradiae var. k11

Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2009
An aminopeptidase gene fragment was isolated from a keratin-degrading strain, Streptomyces fradiae var. k11, by PCR amplification using a degenerate primer set designed based on the partial amino acid sequence of the native enzyme. The gene, designated sfap, encoded a polypeptide of 461 amino acids comprised of three domains: a signal peptide, a mature

The high voltage paper electrophoresis of kinin peptides K9, K10, and K11

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure, 1971
Abstract The relative electrophoretic velocities of three kinin peptides were studied as a function of pH. The separation of the three peptides by simple electrophoresis in aqueous media was not possible. The significance of this finding is discussed in light of a previously published report that K 9 and K 11 can be separated from K 10 by this ...

A novel proteolysis-resistant lipase from keratinolytic Streptomyces fradiae var. k11

Enzyme and Microbial Technology, 2008
Abstract A novel lipase gene, lipS221, was cloned from Streptomyces fradiae var. k11, which secretes multiple proteases. The 930-bp nucleotide sequence encodes 309 amino acid residues with a calculated molecular weight of 28.5 kDa. The protein sequence shows highest identity (82%) with a putative lipase of Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2).

The CCL-K11 ongoing key comparison. Final report for 2022

Metrologia
Main text Two lasers from two national metrological institutes (NMIs) were compared in the year 2022 as part of the CCL-K11 ongoing key comparison, initiated by the 13th meeting of the Comité Consultative des Longuers (CCL) in 2007. The absolute frequency of R(127) 11-5 (≈633 nm) transitions of molecular iodine was measured for these ...
