The high voltage paper electrophoresis of kinin peptides K9, K10, and K11

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure, 1971
Abstract The relative electrophoretic velocities of three kinin peptides were studied as a function of pH. The separation of the three peptides by simple electrophoresis in aqueous media was not possible. The significance of this finding is discussed in light of a previously published report that K 9 and K 11 can be separated from K 10 by this ...

A calculation of the elastic constant K11 for a nematic liquid crystal

Physics Letters A, 1970
Abstract A linear chain of long bars interacting via a hard core potential is considered. Small deviations in the angles the bars make with the normal to line of centers are allowed in order to calculate the Frank elastic constant K11.

The Côté Serum (Anti‐K11), an Antibody Defining a New Variant in the Kell System

Vox Sanguinis, 1976
Abstract. The serum from a 50‐year‐old woman, Mrs. Côté, was found to agglutinate all cell samples except her own, those of two siblings, and Ko erythrocytes. Her Kell phenotype is a common one: K‐k+, Kp(a‐b+), Js(a‐b+), Ul(a‐), K:12, K:13, K:14, K:18.

Assembly of K11-Linked Ubiquitin Chains by the Anaphase-Promoting Complex

2010
Ubiquitin chains are assembled, when a ubiquitin is connected to one of the seven Lys residues or the amino-terminus of a ubiquitin molecule already attached to a substrate. K48-linked ubiquitin chains target proteins for degradation by the 26S proteasome, while those chains connected through K63 regulate intracellular signaling cascades independently ...
