Multimodal Chromatography in the Downstream Processing of mAb‐Based Products: Mechanisms, Strategies, and Applications

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, Volume 123, Issue 5, Page 1236-1265, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Multimodal chromatography has emerged as a powerful tool for the purification of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and their derivatives—including antibody fragments (Fabs), Fc‐fusions, bispecific (BsAb), and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs)—offering enhanced selectivity through the integration of ionic, hydrophobic, hydrogen‐bonding, and π–π ...

Fibrinolysis and anticoagulant potential of a metallo protease produced by Bacillus subtilis K42

open access: yesJournal of Biosciences, 2011
In this study, a potent fibrinolytic enzyme-producing bacterium was isolated from soybean flour and identified as Bacillus subtilis K42 and assayed in vitro for its thrombolytic potential. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme was 20.5 kDa and purification increased its specific activity 390-fold with a recovery of 14%.

Examining the Effects of Synchronous Written Corrective Feedback During Computer‐Mediated Collaborative Writing: Feedback Type and Learner Perceptions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, Volume 36, Issue 2, Page 1194-1207, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Spurred by the advancement of educational technology, more language instruction has been offered in online environments. Consequently, teaching practices have had to adapt to digital platforms. Accordingly, teachers’ provision of synchronous written corrective feedback (SWCF) on digital texts has received increasing attention.

The genetic diversity of mango (Mangifera indica L.) germplasm in Taiwan by high‐throughput single‐nucleotide polymorphism genotyping

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 1, Page 301-315, January 2026.
Mango, the king of fruits, is important to daily life, nutrition, and households in South and Southeast Asia. It is considered the second most important fruit in Taiwan, where many varieties are available. Using high‐throughput DNA genotyping, we analyzed mango germplasm for variety identification, genebank management, and breeding. Our results confirm

A Flexible Design Cross‐Coupled SIW Bandpass Filter With Different Path Loads Using Mixed‐Coupling Topology

open access: yesInternational Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper presents an innovative coupling design for a bandpass substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filter, enabling high selectivity and facilitating flexible design. The proposed filter design has two parts: one is a mixed coupling structure, and the second part is a cross‐coupling path.

ZapA uses a two‐pronged mechanism to facilitate Z ring formation in Escherichia coli

open access: yesmLife, Volume 4, Issue 6, Page 602-622, December 2025.
Abstract The tubulin‐like protein FtsZ assembles into the Z ring that leads to the assembly and activation of the division machinery in most bacteria. ZapA, a widely conserved protein that interacts with FtsZ, plays a pivotal role in organizing FtsZ filaments into a coherent Z ring.

Recent advances in proteomic workflows to interrogate the SUMOylome in plants

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 247, Issue 1, Page 90-96, July 2025.
Summary Protein posttranslational modifications (PTMs) are vital for regulating protein functions. SUMOylation, a PTM essential for plant survival, involves attaching a Small Ubiquitin‐like MOdifier (SUMO) to lysine residues of target proteins. SUMOylation influences stress tolerance, cell proliferation, protein stability, and gene expression.
