Finite TYCZ expansions and cscK metrics

open access: yes, 2019
Let $(M, g)$ be a Kaehler manifold whose associated Kaehler form $\omega$ is integral and let $(L, h)\rightarrow (M, \omega)$ be a quantization hermitian line bundle.

A transferable approach for quantifying benthic fish sizes and densities in annotated underwater images

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, Page 145-159, January 2025.
Abstract Benthic fishes are a common target of scientific monitoring but are difficult to quantify because of their close association to bottom habitats that are hard to access. Advances in image‐acquisition technologies, machine vision and deep learning have made capturing and quantifying fishes with cameras increasingly feasible.

Characterization of Holomorphic Bisectional Curvature of GCR-Lightlike Submanifolds

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2012
We obtain the expressions for sectional curvature, holomorphic sectional curvature, and holomorphic bisectional curvature of a GCR-lightlike submanifold of an indefinite Kaehler manifold.

Bi-Slant Submanifolds of Para Hermitian Manifolds

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this paper, we introduce the notion of bi-slant submanifolds of a para Hermitian manifold. They naturally englobe CR, semi-slant, and hemi-slant submanifolds. We study their first properties and present a whole gallery of examples.

Reduction of Vaisman structures in complex and quaternionic geometry

open access: yes, 2005
We consider locally conformal Kaehler geometry as an equivariant (homothetic) Kaehler geometry: a locally conformal Kaehler manifold is, up to equivalence, a pair (K,\Gamma) where K is a Kaehler manifold and \Gamma a discrete Lie group of biholomorphic ...

On Semiparallel and Weyl-semiparallel Hypersurfaces of Kaehler Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesKyungpook mathematical journal, 2009
We study on semiparallel and Weyl semiparallel Sasakian hypersurfaces of Kaehler manifolds. We prove that a (2n + 1)-dimensional Sasakian hypersurface M of a (2n+2)-dimensional Kaehler manifold is semiparallel if and only if it is totally umbilical with unit mean curvature, if dimM = 3 and is a Calabi-Yau manifold, then is flat at each point of M.

Technical note: A biological anthropologist's guide for applying microbiome science to studies of human and non‐human primates

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 185, Issue 4, December 2024.
Abstract A central goal of biological anthropology is connecting environmental variation to differences in host physiology, biology, health, and evolution. The microbiome represents a valuable pathway for studying how variation in host environments impacts health outcomes.

On CR-submanifolds of the six-dimensional sphere

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1995
We consider proper CR-submanifolds of the six-dimensional sphere S6. We prove that S6 does not admit compact proper CR-submanifolds with non-negative sectional curvature and integrable holomorphic distribution.

Transformer‐based framework for accurate segmentation of high‐resolution images in structural health monitoring

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Volume 39, Issue 24, Page 3670-3684, 15 December 2024.
Abstract High‐resolution image segmentation is essential in structural health monitoring (SHM), enabling accurate detection and quantification of structural components and damages. However, conventional convolutional neural network‐based segmentation methods face limitations in real‐world deployment, particularly when handling high‐resolution images ...

Integrability of almost Kaehler manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1969
The tangent bundle of a nonflat Riemannian manifold is the only known example of a non Kählerian almost Kähler manifold, flatness being the integrability condition of the almost complex structure. These spaces are not compact. For those which are, it is a strong conjecture that if the almost hermitian metric is an Einstein metric the manifold is ...
