Kanata Declaration 2020

open access: yes, 2020
The Kanata Declaration reflects a broad consensus from the Research Data Management (RDM) community on priorities for the data management component of the emerging Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) Strategy. The intended targets are first and foremost Canadian researchers, but also the New DRI Organization (NDRIO), as well as decision makers and ...

A Nutrient‐Based Biostimulant Application Partially Alleviates Negative Effects of Glyphosate Drift on Wheat

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The extensive use of glyphosate for weed control in‐crop poses significant risks to non‐target crops, such as wheat, due to spray drift. Biostimulants are widely used to improve nutrient uptake, stimulate root growth, and enhance tolerance to abiotic stress. These growth effects of biostimulants may aid in alleviating glyphosate‐induced damage

Beyond Silica Assumptions: Optical Network Design in the Hollow-Core Era

open access: yesPhotonics
Hollow-core fiber (HCF) is often presented as an incrementally better transmission medium that can be slotted into networks designed around solid-core silica. We argue instead that recent progress—most visibly reported as attenuations below 0.1 dB/km and

The complementary roles of oversight, education, and collaboration in the responsible integration of artificial intelligence in radiation medicine: White paper of CADRA

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to fundamentally transform radiation medicine, with growing influence across clinical decision‐making, workflow efficiency, personalization of care, and quality assurance. While the technical potential of AI is well described in the literature, less attention has been given to how these tools should be ...

Quantifying entanglement risk reduction to North Atlantic right whales from time-area closures in the southern Gulf of St. Lawrence snow crab fisheries

open access: yesEndangered Species Research
Time-area closures for non-tended, fixed-gear fisheries have been implemented in Atlantic Canada since 2018 as a protective measure for North Atlantic right whales Eubalaena glacialis (hereafter, ‘right whales’).

Directed Hole Localization Stabilizing Interfacial Sulfur Species to Boost α‐C–H Activation for Selective Biomass Photo‐oxidation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
Efficient α‐C–H bond activation and directional conversion for selective biomass photo‐oxidation are achieved by integrating polarization and interface engineering strategies in P‐doped ZnIn2S4 polar photocatalysts, which leverage hole localization and stable interfacial sulfur species, endowing bio‐based HMF at 94.4% conversion with 94.5% selectivity ...

On-Chip Compressed Sensing Fourier-Transform Visible Spectrometer

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
We demonstrate a novel compressed sensing Fourier-transform spectrometer (FTS) in a compact format. This FTS consists of 160 planar-waveguide Mach–Zehnder interferometers (MZIs) arrayed on a photonic chip, effecting a discrete Fourier-transform of

Making the Intangible Tangible: Organizational Capital and Stock Liquidity

open access: yesBritish Journal of Management, Volume 37, Issue 3, July 2026.
Abstract We propose an intangibility‐driven stock liquidity hypothesis and explore the role of organizational capital in influencing stock liquidity. Using a sample of 42,682 firm‐year observations, we uncover compelling evidence that firms' intangible organizational capital boosts stock liquidity.
