In this study, Fe-Cu/kaolin particle electrodes were prepared and optimized for Rhodamine B (RhB) degradation in 3-dimensional electro-Fenton (3D/EF) system. Various characterizations, including scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray

The Effects of Kaolin on the Lung
American Review of Respiratory Disease, 1988Abstract We studied the prevalence of ventilatory impairment, chest symptoms, and radiographic abnormality in a selected sample of more than 2,000 kaolin workers from east central Georgia. The presence of ventilatory impairment was related to the presence of complicated pneumoconiosis, employment in clay calcining, and cigarette ...

Composites of Kaolin and Polydimethylsiloxane
Langmuir, 2008Kaolin particles were surface-treated with isobutyltrimethoxysilane (IBTMS), hydrogenated tallow (HT), and a polyisobutyl chain-based stabilizer (SAP) to make composites with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). IBTMS did not cover the strong acid sites on the kaolin surface and as a result a cross-linking reaction occurred for silanol-terminated PDMS.

Sintering Studies on the Talc-Kaolin and Forsterite-Kaolin Systems
Transactions of the Indian Ceramic Society, 1961The systems, talc-kaolin and forsterite-kaolin show a typical liquid phase sintering behaviour. Densification and microstructure studies on the systems talc-kaolin and forsterite-kaolin show that the rate of densification is controlled by diffusion through liquid film between particles.

The kaolin clotting time (KCT) is a sensitive test used in the laboratory detection of lupus anticoagulants (LA) (Derksen and de Groot, Thromb Res 114:521-526, 2004). It is essentially an activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) test with no added phospholipid. Kaolin acts as the activator in the KCT.
