Influence of Kaolinite Clay Supplementation on Growth Performance and Digestive Function in Finishing Calf-fed Holstein Steers [PDF]
Two experiments were conducted to examine the influence of kaolinite clay supplementation (0%, 1%, or 2% diet dry matter [DM] basis) on characteristics of digestion (Trial 1) and growth performance (Trial 2) in calf-fed Holstein steers fed a finishing ...

Thermoluminescence of Kaolinite [PDF]
Natural kaolinite (size < 5 ¿m) shows strong thermoluminescence (TL) which could be linked with water loss (~ 120°C peak) and dehydroxylation changes (~ 300°C peak). After 100 min of dehydration at room temperature, kaolinite displays microcracks, isothermal luminescence emissions and the starting point of a desiccation plateau.

Influence of OH- concentration on the illitization of kaolinite at high pressure [PDF]
The products of hydrothermal reactions of kaolinite at 300°C and 1000 bars were studied in KOH solutions covering an OH- concentration, [OH-], of 1M to 3.5M. XRD patterns indicated a notable influence of the [OH-] on the reaction.
