The number of L_{infty,kappa}-equivalent non-isomorphic models for kappa weakly compact

open access: yes, 1999
For a cardinal kappa and a model M of cardinality kappa let No(M) denote the number of non-isomorphic models of cardinality kappa which are L_{infty,kappa}--equivalent to M. In [Sh:133] Shelah established that when kappa is a weakly compact cardinal and mu<=kappa is a nonzero cardinal, there exists a model M of cardinality kappa with No(M)=mu.

Evaluating the Pulpability and Paper Performance of Soda and Soda-Anthraquinone Pulping of Acacia Mearnsii

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers
This study examines the pulpability of A. mearnsii grown in Ethiopia to manufacture soda and soda-anthraquinone (AQ) pulp and paper under various pulping conditions. Pulping was performed at active alkali concentrations ranging from 15 to 25%.

Effects of washing method on the bagasse pulping characteristics by Sulfur Dioxide- Ethanol-Water (SEW) process [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Wood and Paper Industries, 2017
SO2-ethanol-water (SEW) pulping can be considered a hybrid between solvent and acid sulfite pulping processes. Recently this process in order to separation the principal components (cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin) have been considered.

Deep Sequencing of FLT3‐ITD Enables Response Evaluation and Post‐Treatment Monitoring in Childhood AML: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

The Role of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation in Ataxia‐Telangiectasia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ataxia‐telangiectasia (A‐T) is a DNA repair disorder characterized by neurodegeneration, immunodeficiency, and cancer predisposition. Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is an established therapy in related disorders such as Fanconi anemia (FA) and Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS), but its role in A‐T is unclear.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
