Karyotypes and chromosome morphology in the genus Salvia Linn.

open access: yesCYTOLOGIA, 1980
Karyotypes of 11 species and varieties of Salvia were studied. Chromosomes show certain remarkable peculiarities. Karyotypes are characterized by chromosomes of relatively small and uniform sizes. In the species S. farinacea (2n=18), chromosomes are the longest among all the species studied.

Karyotype Correlates With Peripheral Blood Morphology and Immunophenotype in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1996
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is recognized as a distinct entity. However, morphologic and immunophenotypic heterogeneity exist. Twenty-six patients with CLL were studied to investigate whether an association exists among peripheral blood karyotype, morphology and immunophenotype. Clonal cytogenetic abnormalities were detected in 14 patients (53%),

First Cytogenetic Study Through Conventional Staining of The Ant Genus Blepharidatta Wheeler, 1915 (Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Attini)

open access: yesSociobiology, 2022
Blepharidatta is a rare Neotropical ant genus in the Attini tribe of the subfamily Myrmicinae. It has only four valid species and among them Blepharidatta delabiei was recently described and there is little knowledge on its biology.

Contribution to the knowledge of the family Otoplanidae Hallez, 1892 (Rhabditophora, Proseriata) in the Mediterranean [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A growing awareness is rising that present perception of marine biodiversity is inadequate, and based upon unrepresentative data. The inadequacy of knowledge on taxonomy and distribution of marine organisms is particularly acute for interstitial ...

Genomic characterisation of Arachis porphyrocalyx (Valls & C.E. Simpson, 2005) (Leguminosae): Multiple origin of Arachis species with x = 9 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The genus Arachis Linnaeus, 1753 comprises four species with x = 9, three belong to the section Arachis: Arachis praecox (Krapov. W.C. Greg. & Valls, 1994), Arachis palustris (Krapov. W.C. Greg. & Valls, 1994) and Arachis decora (Krapov. W.C.

Genetic Abnormalities and Clinical Management of Fetal Genitourinary System Anomalies in Eastern China

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To investigate the correlation between genetic abnormalities and fetal genitourinary (GU) anomalies in Eastern China and to provide assistance for the clinical management of fetuses with different types of GU anomalies. Five hundred forty‐five fetuses with GU anomalies were enrolled, undergoing karyotyping, copy number variation sequencing ...

El cariotipo de Chaetanthera linearis Poepp. (Asteraceae) The karyotype of Chaethanthera linearis Poepp. (Asteraceae)

open access: yesGayana: Botanica, 2010
The karyotype of Chaetanthera linearis var. linearis from Chile was examined. The species has 2n = 2x = 22 chromosomes, with 9m + 1st + 1 st-sat chromosomes. The reported karyotype is symmetric (AsK % = 58.0, TF % = 42.0 and Syi % = 72.4).

Homologies in human and Macasa fuscata chromosomes revealed by in situ suppression hybridization with human chromosome specific DNA libraries [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
We established chromosomal homologies between all chromosomes of the human karyotype and that of an old world monkey (Macaca fuscata) by chromosomal in situ suppression (CISS) hybridization with human chromosome specific DNA libraries.

Association between different morphological types and abnormal karyotypes in early pregnancy loss [PDF]

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2011
AbstractObjectivesTo identify the abnormal transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) findings typical of aneuploidic pregnancies that end with early pregnancy loss (EPL).MethodsThis was a prospective clinical trial over a 2½‐year period from January 2004 to June 2006 at the University Hospital of Cagliari, Italy.
