Abstract: The kasabach‐Merritt syndrome includes the triad of vascular tumors, thrombocytopenia, and a hemorrhagic diathesis. The vascular tumors are usually benign but the associated coagulopathy may be life threatening. We describe a patient whose clinical course illustrates the potential difficulties in management.
