Biostratigraphical analysis of the Moscovian–Kasimovian transition at the neostratotype of Kasimovian Stage (Afanasievo section, Moscow Basin, Russia)

Palaeoworld, 2009
Abstract The Afanasievo Quarry, approximately 90 km southeast of Moscow and about 5 km southwest of Voskresensk, starts with Late Moscovian limestone of the Peski Formation, which is overlain by shallow-water carbonates of the Krevyakinian Horizon (Substage) (Suvorovo and Voskresensk formations) and the lower part of the Khamovnikian Horizon ...

Brachiopods of the family Linoproductidae from the Kasimovian Stage of the Moscow Region

Paleontological Journal, 2008
Brachiopods from the Kasimovian Stage of the Moscow Region that for more than 70 years were referred to the genus Linoproductus (family Linoproductidae) are revised and redescribed. New characters connected with the ornamentation and inner structure of the dorsal valve are used for the first time in the analysis of the taxonomic structure of the group.

“Sub-Triticites Beds” of the Donskaya Luka and lower boundary of the Kasimovian Stage

Stratigraphy and Geological Correlation, 2009
Micro- and macrofauna remains were studied from transitional deposits of Moscovian and Kasimovian Stages in the Donskaya Luka (Volgograd Region). The preliminary analysis of microfauna showed that “sub-Triticites Beds” of the Donskaya Luka contain fusulinid and conodont assemblages enabling correlation of the Middle and Upper Carboniferous deposits in ...

Kasimovian floristic change in tropical wetlands and the Middle–Late Pennsylvanian Boundary Event

Geological Society Special Publication, 2023
Abstract A threshold-like vegetational change in tropical wetlands occurred in the early Kasimovian (the US Desmoinesian–Missourian boundary) – Event 3. Two earlier significant changes occurred, first in the mid-Moscovian (Atokan–Desmoinesian; ∼Bolsovian–Asturian) – Event 1, and the second in the late Moscovian (mid-Desmoinesian; mid-Asturian)

SOME LATE MOSCOVIAN AND KASIMOVIAN FUSULINACEANS FROM THE LAS LLACERIAS SECTION (CANTABRIAN MOUNTAINS, SPAIN)

Journal of Foraminiferal Research, 2000
The upper part of the Las Llacerias section shows an exceptionally complete sequence of Upper Moscovian (Myachkovsky) and Kasimovian (Krevyakinsky-Khamovnichesky) strata which yielded fusulinacean foraminifera from numerous beds throughout the succession.

The upper Moscovian and basal Kasimovian (Pennsylvanian) of Central European Russia: Facies, subaerial exposures and depositional model

Facies, 2003
The type upper Moscovian-basal Kasimovian argillaceous-carbonate succession of central European Russia contains regionally traced cyclothem-bounded subaerial exposure horizons (geosols) represented mainly by rendzina-type palaeosols. Palaeokarst profiles occurrarely and grade laterally to palaeosols.

Limuloid tracks into the Meledis Fm. (Upper Carboniferous, Kasimovian) of the Carnic Alps

open access: yes, 1991
The work describes the first clear evidence of Limuloid tracks discovered in Italy. The trails are impressed in a Kasimovian terrigenous sequences (Upper Carboniferous) of the Carnic Alps (Meledis Fm., Auernig Group) consisting of fine silicioclastic beds stored up in a shallow marine environment representing an outer delta front.
