Middle to Late Pennsylvanian tetrapod evolution: the Kasimovian bottleneck
Geological Society, London, Special Publications, 2023Abstract The Late Pennsylvanian was a critical juncture in tetrapod evolution when many terrestrially adapted taxa first appeared. The Middle Pennsylvanian (Moscovian) tetrapod record reflects a taphonomic megabias that favoured preservation, discovery and collection of aquatic tetrapods that lived in wetland palaeoenvironments (‘coal swamps’)

Enigmatic Structures in an Upper Pennsylvanian (Kasimovian) Marine Limestone
PALAIOS, 2008Abstract Enigmatic structures in the shape of inverted rounded cones are very common in a discrete horizon of the upper Stoner Limestone Member (Stanton Limestone Formation, Lansing Group, Upper Pennsylvanian) in southeastern Nebraska. These structures are 100–300 mm in diameter, but rare, very large examples attain 1300 mm in diameter.

Late Carboniferous (Kasimovian) closure of the South Tianshan Ocean: No Triassic subduction
Journal of Asian Earth Sciences, 2019Abstract The proposed Triassic age of oceanic subduction and high-pressure/low-temperature (HP-LT) metamorphism in the South Tianshan orogen (STS) of the southwestern Central Asian Orogenic Belt needs to be re-examined on the basis of field relationship and precise age dating.
