Nature of Surface Microcracks on Phosphorus Micro‐Alloyed Copper
SSRT tests and microscopic characterization methods were used to study the effect of plastic deformation and environment on the formation of surface microcracks on Cu‐OFP. Results show that, while ambient conditions produced thousands of microcracks per mm2, exposure to sulfide water resulted in fewer microcracks with no evidence of crack growth ...

Fruit colour has long fascinated scientists and is widely considered an evolutionary adaptation to attract both avian and mammalian frugivores. While fleshy fruits play a key role in plant–animal interactions by promoting seed dispersal, the functional significance of colour variation, particularly multicoloured displays during ripening, remains poorly

Schematic summary of the drilling damage and microstructural degradation mechanisms in basalt fiber‐reinforced composites after acidic aging. ABSTRACT This study investigates the drilling performance and environmental durability of basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BRC) and halloysite nanotube (HNT) modified basalt nanocomposites (BRnC) exposed to ...

ABSTRACT Background Upfront treatment intensification with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) plus an androgen receptor pathway inhibitor has become a standard approach for metastatic hormone‐sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC). However, prognosis remains poor for some patients despite second‐generation androgen receptor antagonist‐based doublet therapy.

The association between baseline neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and severe checkpoint inhibitor pneumonitis (CIP) was analyzed in discovery retrospective and validation prospective cohorts. Higher baseline NLR (≥ 4.75) was associated with increased severe CIP incidence in both cohorts.

Clinical Outcomes and Acute Exacerbation Incidence in Combined Pulmonary Fibrosis and Emphysema
This multicentre prospective study of 1016 patients demonstrated that CPFE, defined as ≥ 5% emphysema on visual CT assessment, identified a high‐risk phenotype with significantly worse 5‐year survival compared to non‐CPFE IIP patients (51.4% vs. 63.1%) and COPD patients (51.4% vs. 84.0%) and higher acute exacerbation incidence, validating international

We used a unique long‐term dataset of population recovery in the Osprey Pandion haliaetus to reveal the similarity in spatial patterns underpinning recolonisations and biological invasions. Our findings highlight the importance of rare pioneering movements in driving range expansion, and the value of conservation interventions such as species ...
