Haptic In‐Sensor Computing Device Based on CNT/PDMS Nanocomposite Physical Reservoir

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
Using a porous carbon nanotube‐polydimethylsiloxane nanocomposite, a sensor array integrated with a physical reservoir computing paradigm capable of in‐sensor computing is demonstrated. The device is able to classify between nine objects with an accuracy above 80%, opening the possibility for low‐power sensing/computing for future robotics.

Kawasaki disease [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ, 1997
Incidence of Kawasaki disease in Japan is 10 times higher than in the United States. Approximately 10% of patients have atypical clinical presentations. Because echocardiographic or angiographic evidence of coronary artery complications is needed for diagnosis, such atypical cases often result in either delay or omission of intravenous gamma globulin ...

Increased Elbow Valgus Torque During Pitching Is Not a Risk Factor for Medial Elbow Injuries in Young Baseball Pitchers: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesArthroscopy, EarlyView.
Purpose To examine the relationship between elbow valgus torque during pitching and the occurrence of medial elbow injuries in young baseball pitchers prospectively. Methods Between 2019 and 2023, 361 male pitchers aged 9 to 12 years were enrolled. Pitchers with a history of elbow injury or who had not served as pitchers in baseball games for ≥1 year ...

Interleukin‐18 Levels Are Associated With Disease Course in Patients With Still Disease Treated With Interleukin‐1 Inhibitors

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective To evaluate the prognostic utility of circulating interleukin‐18 (IL‐18) levels in predicting disease activity, macrophage activation syndrome (MAS), and disease course in patients with Still disease (SD) receiving first‐line IL‐1 inhibitors (IL‐1i).

A multifaceted interplay between hemophagocytosis, IL‐18 and type I IFN distinguishes Still disease from other autoinflammatory diseases

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objectives The unknown pathophysiology and the lack of specific features for systemic Juvenile Idiopathic arthritis and adult‐onset Still disease (collectively Still disease/SD) delays diagnosis and appropriate treatment. The goal of this study was to identify features and mechanisms that distinguish SD from other systemic autoinflammatory diseases ...
