Rulers on the road: Itinerant rule in the Holy Roman Empire, AD 919–1519

Abstract Itinerant rule, rule exercised through traveling, was a common yet insufficiently researched, premodern form of governance. Studying the determinants of ruler itineraries in the Holy Roman Empire, AD 919–1519, we argue that rulers' visits targeted “marginal” elites.

Investigation of factors affecting ozone yellowing in denim products

Abstract The aim of this study was to determine the source of ozone yellowing observed in denim trousers and to identify the most appropriate process flow to minimise it. For this purpose, standard pre‐washing, stone washing, and hypochlorite bleaching processes were applied to denim trousers.

Household‐Based Epidemiology of Bovine Ixodid Tick Infestation and Associated Risk Factors in Endamehoni, Raya‐Azebo and Enderta Districts, Tigray Region, Northern Ethiopia

Tick infestation affected 41.5% of cattle in Tigray, with Rhipicephalus species predominating. Infestation was strongly associated with poor housing, poor body condition and management practices, whereas limited awareness of tick‐borne diseases highlights the need for targeted control strategies informed by species‐specific attachment‐site preferences.
