Badiou and the Reconstruction of the Concept of God
Modern Theology, Volume 42, Issue 1, Page 187-209, January 2026.Abstract In this article I first summarize Badiou’s and Žižek’s critique of the concept of God, which I and other interpreters conceive as a radicalization of the theology of the death of God. I then pose the question of how to formulate a positive conception of God after the death of God that would overcome the limits of negative or apophatic theology.
