Cognitive Decline on the Bench: A Text Analysis of the Opinions of Justice Stephen Field
ABSTRACT This paper uses text analysis to understand how cognitive decline affected the opinion writing of Justice Stephen Field over the course of his career. Justice Field is used as a case study because of his lengthy tenure, the fact he did not have law clerks to write opinions for him, and because it is widely known he was senile for the last part

Beyond the Adversarial Rivalry: A Developmental Rights‐Based Model for Minor‐on‐Minor Crime, Part 1
ABSTRACT When children harm children, the conventional victim–perpetrator framework is ill‐equipped to address the developmental, relational, and institutional complexities involved. While juvenile justice scholarship increasingly emphasizes rehabilitation, and victims' rights literature has advanced child‐sensitive protection, minor‐on‐minor offending

Reductive conversion of CO2 to formic acid with waste silicon reducing agent catalyzed by in situ generation of active fluoride species from a tertiary amine, protonic acid, and simple inorganic fluoride salt, such as KF and NaF. ABSTRACT The activation and catalytic reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) using silicon‐based reducing agents is an important ...

We report a reversible structural phase transition in a metal–organic framework (MOF) triggered by the exchange of coordinative guest molecules. This MOF consists of rigid 1D Pb–O rods as building units, forming a 3D framework with 1D pores. Guest exchange induces pronounced changes in both the Pb–O rod structure and the dimensionality of the framework.

Multi‐state Photoswitching in Thienoquinoid‐Based Fluorescent Trithiophenes
A methine‐bridged trithiophene with a thienoquinoid core undergoes photoisomerization of both C═C bonds, affording three geometrical isomers in a ratio controlled by the irradiation wavelength. Despite full π‐conjugation, the system retains fluorescence, enabling wavelength‐addressable multi‐state switching with luminescent readout.
