Peptide‐directed nanovehicles enabling tumor‐selective ROS amplification and antitumor immunity
Cancer cells are vulnerable to oxidative stress, yet exploit immune tolerance to escape destruction. In contrast, their metabolic profile is markedly altered to support rapid proliferation, accompanied by elevated production of reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Decreased Production of Tissue Plasminogen Activator in Endothelial Cells From Nasal Polyps
ABSTRACT Introduction Previous studies have demonstrated that chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is characterized by excessive fibrin deposition which is related to impaired production of tissue plasminogen activator(t‐PA) by epithelial cells.

Niche occupancy of Jamaican bat caves: Diversity increases isotopic niche packing
Tropical bat caves are home to hundreds of thousands of bats of multiple species. In Jamaica, we found that isotopic niche packing is the likely mechanism of coexistence at more diverse sites. Abstract There are over 1000 documented caves across Jamaica, many of them used by diverse communities of bats.

Multitechnique Physicochemical Characterization of Horse Hoof Trimmings as Sustainable and Untapped Keratin Source. [PDF]
Horse hoof trimmings, cruelty‐free and traceable keratin‐rich waste, were characterized for particle size, morphology, thermal stability, composition and metal contamination. Results show a high higher‐heating value and promising upcycling paths for energy and materials, but variable metal contamination (shoeing‐ and milling‐dependent) requires ...

The transition of cetaceans from a terrestrial to an aquatic environment involved a crucial sensory adaptation to environments with limited visibility. Vibrissae, important mechanoreceptors, undergo an ontogenetic transformation in odontocetes. This research describes the histomorphology of vibrissae and crypts at different developmental stages ...

We exposed human nasal epithelial tissues to pollen from grasses grown under different climate treatments (temperature and CO2). Pollen weakened epithelial tight junctions and altered cytokine‐related gene expression, with similar protein‐level effects.

Effect of Keratin Preparations on Cementoblast OCCM- 30 and Fibroblast L929 Cells
Aim: To assess the in vitro effect of keratin preparations on the viability and proliferation of cementoblast OCCM-30 and fibroblast L929 cells and on the mineralization capability of the OCCM-30 cells.

ABSTRACT The skin is far from a passive shield; it functions as a dynamic “living barrier” whose structural and immunological integrity is paramount in preventing atopic dermatitis (AD) and the subsequent progression of the atopic march toward food allergy (FA).
