Calculations of actual corneal astigmatism using total corneal refractive power before and after myopic keratorefractive surgery. [PDF]
PURPOSE: To calculate actual corneal astigmatism using the total corneal refractive astigmatism for the 4-mm apex zone of the Pentacam (TCRP4astig) and keratometric astigmatism (Kastig) before and after photorefractive keratectomy or laser in situ ...

Toric intraocular lenses: Evidence‐based use
Abstract Uncorrected refractive astigmatism degrades visual acuity. Spherical intraocular lenses (IOLs) leave astigmatic errors resident in the cornea manifest in refractive astigmatism. Toric IOLs, correcting for this corneal astigmatism, contribute to spectacle‐free vision in the pseudophakic eye.

Prediction of corneal back surface power – Deep learning algorithm versus multivariate regression
Abstract Background The corneal back surface is known to add some against the rule astigmatism, with implications in cataract surgery with toric lens implantation. This study aimed to set up and validate a deep learning algorithm to predict corneal back surface power from the corneal front surface power and biometric measures.

A Review of Intraocular Pressure (IOP) and Axial Myopia
The pathogenesis of myopia is driven by genetic and environmental risk factors. Accommodation not only alters the curvature and shape of the lens but also involves contraction of the ciliary and extraocular muscles, which influences intraocular pressure (IOP). Scleral matrix remodeling has been shown to contribute to the biomechanical susceptibility of
