Influence of welding parameters and protective gases on the spatter formation during MAG welding of stainless and structural steel [PDF]

A physics‐informed generative framework introduces Directional Latent Hybridization (DLH) for the deterministic inverse design of nonlinear metamaterials. By hybridizing dominant traits from parent geometries in the latent space, DLH overcomes the instabilities of stochastic models to ensure high structural precision at high densities.

Nonparametric Beta kernel estimator for long memory time series [PDF]
The paper introduces a new nonparametric estimator of the spectral density that is given in smoothing the periodogram by the probability density of Beta random variable (Beta kernel).

The term "CoRE kernel" stands for correlation-resemblance kernel. In many applications (e.g., vision), the data are often high-dimensional, sparse, and non-binary. We propose two types of (nonlinear) CoRE kernels for non-binary sparse data and demonstrate the effectiveness of the new kernels through a classification experiment.

Transformation kernel density estimation of actuarial loss functions [PDF]
A transformation kernel density estimator that is suitable for heavy-tailed distributions is discussed. Using a truncated Beta transformation, the choice of the bandwidth parameter becomes straightforward.
