The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Kernel Methods for Nonlinear Connectivity Detection [PDF]
In this paper, we show that the presence of nonlinear coupling between time series may be detected using kernel feature space F representations while dispensing with the need to go back to solve the pre-image problem to gauge model adequacy. This is done by showing that the kernelized auto/cross sequences in F can be computed from the model rather than

Three-Dimensional Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Method for Simulating Free Surface Flows [PDF]
In this paper, we applied an improved Smoothing Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method by using gradient kernel renormalization in three-dimensional cases. The purpose of gradient kernel renormalization is to improve the accuracy of numerical simulation by ...

A Riemannian-Stein Kernel Method
This paper presents a theoretical analysis of numerical integration based on interpolation with a Stein kernel. In particular, the case of integrals with respect to a posterior distribution supported on a general Riemannian manifold is considered and the

Nitrogen‐Vacancy Magnetometry of Edge Magnetism in WS2 Flakes
Using nitrogen‐vacancy magnetometry, the authors visualize room‐temperature stray magnetic fields localized at the edges of WS2 flakes. Their measurements reveal edge‐specific magnetization consistent with spin canting in antiferromagnetically coupled edge states.
