Synthesis of copolymers of poly(ether sulfone ether ketone ketone) and poly(ether ketone diphenyl ketone ether ketone ketone) by electrophilic Friedel–Crafts solution polycondensation

Polymers for Advanced Technologies, 2011
AbstractA new monomer, 4,4′‐bis(4‐phenoxybenzoyl)diphenyl(BPOBDP), was synthesized via a two‐step synthetic procedure. A series of novel poly(ether sulfone ether ketone ketone)/poly(ether ketone diphenyl ketone ether ketone ketone) copolymers were prepared by electrophilic Friedel–Crafts solution copolycondensation of isophthaloyl chloride (IPC) with a

Synthesis and properties of novel copolymers of poly(ether ketone biphenyl ketone ether ketone ketone) and poly(ether ketone sulfone amide)

Journal of Polymer Research, 2014
The monomer containing sulfone and amide linkages, namely N,N'-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)-4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (BPBDAS), was conveniently prepared by the condensation of 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl sulfone with 4-phenoxybenzoyl chloride in N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc).

Synthesis and properties of novel copolymers of poly(ether ketone ether ketone ketone) and poly(ether amide amide ether ketone ketone)

Polymer Engineering & Science, 2013
A new monomer,N,N′‐bis(4‐phenoxybenzoyl)‐m‐phenylenediamine (BPMPDA), was prepared via the reaction ofm‐phenylenediamine with 4‐phenoxybenzoyl chloride inN,N‐dimethylacetamide. Novel copolymers of poly(ether ketone ether ketone ketone) and poly(ether amide amide ether ketone ketone) (PEAAEKK) were synthesized by the modified electrophilic Friedel ...

Mutagenicity studies on ketone solvents: methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, and isophorone

Mutation Research/Genetic Toxicology, 1988
3 ketone solvents (methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), methyl isobutyl ketone (MiBK), and isophorone) were tested for potential genotoxicity. The assays of MEK and MiBK included the Salmonella/microsome (Ames) assay, L5178Y/TK+/- mouse lymphoma (ML) assay, BALB/3T3 cell transformation (CT) assay, unscheduled DNA synthesis (UDS) assay, and micronucleus (MN ...

Structural study on poly(ether ether ketone ketone)‐poly(ether biphenyl ether ketone ketone) copolymers

Macromolecular Rapid Communications, 1996
AbstractStructures of poly(ether ether ketone ketone)‐poly(ether biphenyl ether ketone ketone) copolymers were studied by using small angle X‐ray scattering and the one‐dimensional electron density correlation function method. The results revealed that structures of the aggregated state of the copolymers depend closely on the biphenyl content (nb ...

Nanotribological Properties of Poly(ether ketone ketone) (PEKK) and Sulfonated Poly(ether ketone ketone) (S-PEKK) Thin Films

High Performance Polymers, 2002
An atomic force microscope (AFM) was used to determine the nanotribological properties of poly(ether ketone ketone) (PEKK) and sulfonated poly(ether ketone ketone) (S-PEKK) thin films, by sliding the AFM tip on the polymer surfaces and stepwise increasing the loading forces on the cantilever.

Synthesis and characterization of poly(ether ketone ether ketone ketone)/poly(ether ether ketone ketone) copolymers containing naphthalene and pendant cyano groups

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2009
Abstract2,6‐Bis(β‐naphthoxy)benzonitrile (BNOBN) was synthesized by reaction of β‐naphthol with 2,6‐difluorobenzonitrile in N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP) in the presence of KOH and K2CO3. Poly(ether ketone ether ketone ketone)(PEKEKK) /poly(ether ether ketone ketone) (PEEKK) copolymers containing naphthalene and pendant cyano groups were obtained by ...
