A novel key pre-distribution scheme for wireless distributed sensor networks [PDF]
A novel key pre-distribution scheme for sensor networks is proposed, which enables sensor nodes to communicate securely with each other using cryptographic techniques. The approach uses the rational normal curves in the projective space with the dimension n over the finite field \( \mathbb{F}_q \).

A Dynamic and Distributed Key Management Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks
Proceedings of the International Conference on Internet of things and Cloud Computing, 2016Ensuring key management in Wireless Sensor Networks has a vital importance, especially when sensor nodes have to communicate in hostile environments. In this paper, we propose a new simple and resource-aware key management scheme. The scheme is based on the idea that the initial pre-distributed key is not pre-loaded in all nodes to improve its ...

A Novel Key Distribution Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network
2014 Sixth International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2014This paper studies the E-G key pre-distribution algorithm principle, and a new key distribution algorithm based on the Blom key pre-distribution model is proposed. The nodes is deployed in a hexagonal area. Each cluster uses preshared key to establish key pair, Blom key pre-distribution model is used in the establishment of key pair among clusters. The

Distributed Key Certification Using Accumulators for Wireless Sensor Networks
2014In this work, we propose a key certification protocol for wireless sensor networks that allows nodes to autonomously exchange their public keys and verify their authenticity using one-way accumulators. We examine and compare different accumulator implementations for our protocol on the Sun SPOT platform.

Distributed Energy Efficient Key Distribution for Dense Wireless Sensor Networks
2009 First International Conference on Computational Intelligence, Communication Systems and Networks, 2009The recent research in Wireless Sensor Networks has led to a number of security schemes. The main requirement in Wireless Sensor Networks is not only security but energy efficient security due to limited resources. We propose an energy efficient key management protocol fully developed in TinyOS and tested in Avrora Emulator.

Agent-based Distributed Group Key Establishment in Wireless Sensor Networks
2007 IEEE International Symposium on a World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks, 2007Wireless sensor networks are comprised of a vast number of ultra-small autonomous computing, communication and sensing devices, with restricted energy and computing capabilities, that co-operate to accomplish a large sensing task. Such networks can be very useful in practice, e.g.

Practical and secure localization and key distribution for wireless sensor networks
Ad Hoc Networks, 2012In many applications of wireless sensor networks, sensor nodes are manually deployed in hostile environments where an attacker can disrupt the localization service and tamper with legitimate in-network communication. In this article, we introduce Secure Walking GPS, a practical and cost effective secure localization and key distribution solution for ...

Evaluation of key distribution protocols for use with wireless sensor networks
2009 IEEE Sensors Applications Symposium, 2009Advances in wireless sensor networks (WSN) have opened up new opportunities and many applications. To achieve security in these kinds of networks, it is important to encrypt messages. This requires the use of key distribution protocols. Due to resource constraints, achieving such key distribution in WSN's is not trivial.
