Abstract Objectives/Background Chronic migraine is a debilitating neurological disorder characterized by central sensitization and impaired brainstem habituation. OnabotulinumtoxinA is an established prophylactic treatment for chronic migraine, yet its effects on central trigeminal sensory processing remain incompletely understood.

Highly Discriminative Image Copy-Move Forgery Detection [PDF]
Several discriminative problems exist in copy-move forgery detection, including the difficulty of using keypoints to cover smooth regions, lack of color descriptive capability in feature representations, and insufficient accuracy of feature matching ...

Elevated miR‐210‐3p expression was diagnostic for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) and served as an independent risk factor for DPN. miR‐210‐3p functioned by negatively regulating BDNF, and its inhibitor reversed hyperglycemia‐induced Schwann cell dysfunction, whereas BDNF knockdown eliminated this protective effect.

Nerve Ultrasound in Patients With Friedreich Ataxia
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Nerve enlargement has been reported in patients with Friedreich ataxia (FRDA). The underlying cause remains unclear, and both inflammatory processes and dysmyelination have been suggested as potential mechanisms. This study was aimed at assessing nerve morphology with high‐resolution ultrasound, to identify and describe ...

Assigning Main Orientation to an EOH Descriptor on Multispectral Images
This paper proposes an approach to compute an EOH (edge-oriented histogram) descriptor with main orientation. EOH has a better matching ability than SIFT (scale-invariant feature transform) on multispectral images, but does not assign a main orientation ...

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Out‐of‐hospital cardiac arrests (OHCAs) remain a critical challenge in emergency care, as CPR effectiveness heavily relies on precise chest compressions. We propose a novel CPR guidance system using computer vision to track rescuer motion in real time.

Automatic adaptation of SIFT for robust facial recognition in uncontrolled lighting conditions
The scale invariant feature transform (SIFT), which was proposed by David Lowe, is a powerful method that extracts and describes local features called keypoints from images. These keypoints are invariant to scale, translation, and rotation, and partially

Optimising Image Feature Extraction and Selection: A Comprehensive Review With Spark Case Studies
ABSTRACT As benchmark image datasets expand in sample size and feature complexity, the challenge of managing increased dimensionality becomes apparent. Contrary to the expectation that more features equate to enhanced information and improved outcomes, the curse of dimensionality often hampers performance.

UAV Localization Method with Keypoints on the Edges of Semantic Objects for Low-Altitude Economy
The low-altitude economy heavily relies on new carriers represented by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The localization accuracy of UAVs highly relies on the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), which can be easily affected in low-altitude urban ...
