Region-restricted rapid keypoint registration
A two-stage keypoint registration approach is proposed to achieve frame-rate performance, while maintaining high accuracy under large perspective and scale variations. First, an agglomerative clustering algorithm based on an effective edge significance measure is adopted to derive the corresponding regions for keypoint detection.

ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Previous studies of children with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) have focused on the ulnar and median nerves, while lower‐limb and proximal motor nerves remain insufficiently characterized. This study aimed to evaluate compound muscle action potential (CMAP) amplitudes in upper‐ and lower‐limb motor nerves in children with SMA

FREAK: Fast Retina Keypoint [PDF]
A large number of vision applications rely on matching keypoints across images. The last decade featured an arms-race towards faster and more robust keypoints and association algorithms: Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT)[17], Speed-up Robust Feature (SURF)[4], and more recently Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Keypoints (BRISK)[I6] to name a few.

Robotic Cell Micromanipulation Skill Learning via Imitation‐Enhanced Reinforcement Learning
ABSTRACT Humans can learn complex and dexterous manipulation tasks by observing videos, imitating and exploring. Multiple end‐effectors manipulation of free micron‐sized deformable cells is one of the challenging tasks in robotic micromanipulation. We propose an imitation‐enhanced reinforcement learning method inspired by the human learning process ...
