Decoding KGK VI Population Movements: Strontium Isotope and Proteomic Insights from the Gumelnița Site (Romania)

open access: yes
Abstract The Kodjadermen-Gumelnița-Karonovo VI human group (KGK VI) reached its maximal extension around 4500 BC, covering a large area comprised between southern Ukraine and northern Greece. Afterward, its distribution gradually receded, before vanishing altogether at the end of the fifth – early fourth millenniums BC.

Investigation on Thermal Characteristics of Lithium Battery Based on Electro‐Chemical Thermal Coupled Model

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study reveals that high discharge rates significantly exacerbate heat generation, temperature rise, and temperature difference of NMC523 lithium‐ion batteries, with core temperatures exceeding safety thresholds. The findings highlight the critical need for advanced thermal management in high‐power applications.

Optimization and Assessment of Parabolic Trough Solar Power Plants in Arid Climates: A Case Study in Tunisia

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1180-1194, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aims to model a solar power plant (SPP) utilizing parabolic trough collectors (PTC) to fulfill the electricity needs in an arid zone of the southern of Tunisia. The research integrates both experimental and numerical approaches. A prototype of a PTC was first constructed and experimentally tested under arid climates. Subsequently, a

Optimal Nanoparticle Size in SiO₂/Al₂O₃‐Water Nanofluids for Enhancing Intercooler Thermal Enhancement: A Conjugate Heat Transfer Study

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1387-1397, March 2026.
The simulation shows that the comprehensive heat transfer effect of using nanofluids as cooling liquid is greater than 1.30 nm SiO2/water and 40 nmAl2O3/water nanofluids have the best heat transfer enhancement effect, while all nanofluids of 30 nm Al2O3/water have the best heat transfer enhancement effect.
