Limonoids from Khaya anthotheca(Welw.) C.DC.
Journal of the Chemical Society C: Organic, 1970Khaya anthotheca occurs in two distinct chemical varieties. The timber of one, indigenous to East Africa, yields khivorin and a new compound identified as methyl 3β-isobutyryloxy-1-oxomeliacate, while the seeds yield khivorin, 3-deacetylkhivorin, and a new compound identified as 14β,15β-epoxy-16-oxo-1α,3α,7α-triacetoxy-meliacan.

Three New Modified Limonoids from Khaya senegalensis
Journal of Natural Products, 2002Three new rings B/D opened limonoids, two rearranged phragmalin limonoids named khayanolides D and E (1 and 2), and one limonoid glucoside named khayanoside (3) were isolated as insect antifeedants from the stem bark of Egyptian Khaya senegalensis. The structures of these compounds were established by spectroscopic methods, including 2D NMR and CD.
