On the Killing form on Lie algebras

Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii. Matematika, 2021
Finite-dimensional Lie algebras with trivial Killing form are studied. The main properties of the Killing form are specified, a series of examples of Lie algebras with trivial or non-trivial Killing form are given. A classification of Lie algebras of dimension $\le 5$ with

Karo-Kari: A Form of Honour Killing in Pakistan

Transcultural Psychiatry, 2008
Karo-Kari is a type of premeditated honour killing, which originated in rural and tribal areas of Sindh, Pakistan. The homicidal acts are primarily committed against women who are thought to have brought dishonour to their family by engaging in illicit pre-marital or extra-marital relations.

Killing-Yano 2-forms on homogeneous spaces

São Paulo Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2018
Riemannian manifolds carrying skew (1, 1)-tensors satisfying the Killing-Yano equation are natural generalizations of nearly Kahler manifolds. In this article we investigate the existence of invariant solutions to the Killing-Yano equation on homogeneous spaces G/K endowed with a G-invariant metric, focusing on 2-forms.

The Killing form for graded Lie algebras

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1977
A Killing form with nice symmetry and invariance properties is constructed for an arbitrary graded Lie algebra. When this form is nondegenerate, Casimir operators can be constructed, and the graded Lie algebra possesses properties analogous to those possessed by semisimple ordinary Lie algebras.

The form of Killing vectors in expanding ℋℋ spaces

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1982
The Killing vector structure of those spaces of complexified general relativity known as expanding hyperheavens is investigated using the methods of spinor calculus. The Killing equations for all left-algebraically degenerate Einstein vacuum spaces are completely integrated.

Special Killing forms on Lorentzian spin manifolds

2011 International Conference on Computer Science and Service System (CSSS), 2011
The aim of this paper is to give some conformal Killing forms, some Killing and special Killing forms concerning the geometry of Lorentzian spin manifolds admitting imaginary Killing spinors. By the Dirac current flow V ϕ of an imaginary killing spinor ϕ.

Conformal Killing Forms on Totally Umbilical Submanifolds

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2016
In the present paper we shall study the global existence of conformal Killing forms on compact and orientable submanifolds of pseudo-Riemannian manifolds. In addition, we shall determine exact upper bounds of the dimensions of the vector spaces of these forms on compact and orientable pseudo-Riemannian manifolds.

Theorems of existence and of vanishing of conformally killing forms

Russian Mathematics, 2014
On an n-dimensional compact, orientable, connected Riemannian manifold, we consider the curvature operator acting on the space of covariant traceless symmetric 2-tensors. We prove that, if the curvature operator is negative, then the manifold admits no nonzero conformally Killing p-forms for p = 1, 2, …, n − 1.
