Karo-Kari: A Form of Honour Killing in Pakistan
Transcultural Psychiatry, 2008Karo-Kari is a type of premeditated honour killing, which originated in rural and tribal areas of Sindh, Pakistan. The homicidal acts are primarily committed against women who are thought to have brought dishonour to their family by engaging in illicit pre-marital or extra-marital relations.

Conformal Killing Forms on Totally Umbilical Submanifolds
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2016For a \(C^{\infty}\)-manifold \(M\) with a pseudo-Riemannian metric \(g\) and Levi-Civita connection \(\nabla\), an \(r\)-form \(\omega\) on \(M\) is called a conformal Killing form if it satisfies the differential equation: \[ \nabla\omega-\frac{1}{r+1}d\omega+g\wedge\theta=0 \] for some \((r-1)\)-form \(\theta\).

However, a lack of control over heat dissipation following a treatment with light might damage surrounding tissues. A new strategy to kill cells at the surface of tissues is reported.

Killing tensors from conformal Killing vectors
Classical and Quantum Gravity, 1992Killing vectors are usual known or at least not very hard to find. Conformal Killing vectors are much harder to find and consequently the process of finding the corresponding Killing tensors of order 2 is more difficult. The aim of this paper is to explicitly obtain Killing tensors of order 2 without solving the classical equations.

The form of Killing vectors in expanding ℋℋ spaces
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1982The Killing vector structure of those spaces of complexified general relativity known as expanding hyperheavens is investigated using the methods of spinor calculus. The Killing equations for all left-algebraically degenerate Einstein vacuum spaces are completely integrated.

The Killing form for graded Lie algebras
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1977A Killing form with nice symmetry and invariance properties is constructed for an arbitrary graded Lie algebra. When this form is nondegenerate, Casimir operators can be constructed, and the graded Lie algebra possesses properties analogous to those possessed by semisimple ordinary Lie algebras.
