A Guanosine‐Quadruplex Hydrogel as Cascade Reaction Container Consuming Endogenous Glucose for Infected Wound Treatment—A Study in Diabetic Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2022
Diabetic foot ulcers infected with antibiotic‐resistant bacteria form a severe complication of diabetes. Antimicrobial‐loaded hydrogels are used as a dressing for infected wounds, but the ongoing rise in the number of antimicrobial‐resistant infections ...

Gauge Theories on Sphere and Killing Vectors

open access: yes, 2003
We provide a general method for studying manifestly $O(n+1)$ covariant formulation of $p$-form gauge theories by stereographically projecting these theories, defined in flat Euclidean space, onto the surface of a hypersphere.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Mercy killing in contemporary criminal law [PDF]

open access: yesZbornik Radova Pravnog Fakulteta u Nišu, 2020
Violent acts against life and physical integrity of others certainly fall among the most dangerous forms and manifestations of violent crime. These are different forms of homicide, including a range of criminal offences of murder; given the importance ...

Spinorial Characterization of Surfaces into 3-dimensional homogeneous Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We give a spinorial characterization of isometrically immersed surfaces into 3-dimensional homogeneous manifolds with 4-dimensional isometry group in terms of the existence of a particular spinor, called generalized Killing spinor.

Killing forms of isotropic Lie algebras

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2012
This paper presents a method for computing the Killing form of an isotropic Lie algebra defined over an arbitrary field based on the Killing form of a subalgebra containing its anisotropic kernel. This approach allows for streamlined formulas for many Lie algebras of types E6 and E7 and yields a unified formula for all Lie algebras of inner type E6 ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

TRANSVERSE KILLING FORMS ON A KÄAHLER FOLIATION [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2012
On a closed, connected Riemannian manifold with a Kahler foliation F of codimension q, any transverse Killing r-form (2 r q) is parallel.

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

On a chain of reproducing kernel Cartan subalgebras

open access: yesMoroccan Journal of Pure and Applied Analysis, 2021
Let 𝔤 be a semisimple Lie algebra, j a Cartan subalgebra of 𝔤, j*, the dual of j, jv the bidual of j and B(., .) the restriction to j of the Killing form of 𝔤.
