Kinematics of Cams, Calculated by Graphical Methods
Transactions of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 1926Abstract This paper presents the application of graphical methods for the calculation of velocity and acceleration of cams. The theory of the graphical methods is explained, its application to problems comprising various shapes of cams is presented, and changes in kinematic conditions due to variation in the shape of the cam are ...

Wave Kinematics and Seakeeping Calculation With Varying Bathymetry
Volume 1: Offshore Technology, 2009Diffraction/Radiation theory is used to calculate the wave kinematics and the motions of a floating body in area of varying bathymetry. The bathymetry is modeled as a second body, which, without special measures, leads to spurious reflection at the edge of the mesh.

Upstream Calculation of Characteristics for Kinematic Wave Routing
Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 1987A method is presented for calculating characteristics in the upstream direction for kinematic wave routing of overland and upland channel flow resulting from time‐varying rainfall. This method allows convenient selection of a regular time step for the discharge hydrograph without sacrificing the precision of an analytical solution.

ASTM Viscosity Index Tables Calculated from Kinematic Viscosity
1965These tables were prepared to provide a convenient means of obtaining the Viscosity Index of petroleum products and lubricants without the necessity of calculation. They have been prepared under the guidance of Research Division VII on Flow Properties, of ASTM Committee D-2 on Petroleum Products and Lubricants.

A Kinematic Approach to Calculate Protein Motion Paths
2008Proteins play an essential role in biochemical processes. Recently, a new viewpoint has arisen within protein researches, based on the parallelisms between proteins and mechanism. In this paper the authors present a new approach to obtain protein motion paths based in computational kinematic considerations.
