The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Chemisorption kinetics of hydrogen on evaporated iron films [PDF]
Measurements were made of the isothermal adsorption-desorption kinetics for H2 chemisorbed onto Fe films. The chemisorption process is observed to proceed via a precursor state of adsorbed molecular hydrogen similar to the H2-Ni system.

A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.
