Analytical Biochemistry, 1976Abstract An automated assay for acetylcholinesterase (EC 3.1.1.7.) has been developed based on the manual spectrophotometric method of Ellman et al. (1). This method was used to determine (a) the enzyme activity of an unknown sample and (b) the dependence of initial rates given by a fixed enzyme concentration on the substrate concentration.

Interval methods for kinetic simulations
Proceedings of the fifteenth annual symposium on Computational geometry, 1999We propose a speed-up method for discrete-event simulations, including sweep-line or -plane techniques, requiring the repeated calculation of the times at which certain discrete events occur. Instead of calculating these event times precisely, we use interval methods to obtain less expensive approximations that may still be adequate for the simulation.
